Fred Durst encourages TikToker which is on the cover of Electro Limp Bizkit

Fans who follow Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst know that the bandleader likes to draw attention to the things he loves. Namely, he recently did so by sharing a TikTok video made by British musician Youngr.

On Tuesday, Jan. 25, Youngr responded to Durst’s encouragement by sharing a looping electro solo version of Limp Bizkit’s 2000 hit “Rollin'” — a song that’s no shortage of covers. In turn, Durst shared Youngr’s “Rollin'” cover on Instagram.

fire flip,” the Limp Bizkit singer remarked.

Youngr, the creative nickname of Dario Younger Brigham-Bowes, already has a backlog of TikTok music creations. Recently, Durst responded with two lightning bolt emojis to a video of May Youngr doing a live remix of Aussie rockers The Temper Trap’s “Sweet Disposition,” which sparked the pair’s swap.

Youngr released his debut album, This is not an albumin 2018. He followed it up with the Obsession EP (2018), Souvenirs (2020) and Contraband Mixture, Vol. 1 (2020).

In 2021, Youngr explained, “Most of my musical life [was] in bands and writing with other people, jamming, improvising, feeding on the energy of other musicians. Doing it myself is a bit lonely, if I’m being honest! It’s always fun at first making a track, loading up the synths, hitting the drums, hitting the bass, but then when it comes to structuring and arranging and making those tough decisions about what ‘to keep and what to remove, it becomes pretty treacherous!

Last year, Limp Bizkit released ALWAYS SUCKS, the rap-rock veterans’ first album in a decade. It arrived amid a resurgence in popularity for the group following their 2021 Lollapalooza set and Durst’s wig-assisted makeover.
