And we have an EP coming out on earMUSIC as well. And this EP has a cover version of a BEATLES song we made. It came out great. Something different. And a new song, one of our new songs, and then two live tracks. And then we do dates from the end of September through the rest of the year.”

Last May, LAST IN LINE bass player Phil Soussan Told SiriusXMit is “Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk” that the band’s new EP is “very special. There’s something very, very cool about it – and there’s going to be a great video to go along with it”, he said.

The news of LAST IN LINEpartnership with earMUSIC was shared 5 months ago by Appliance during an appearance on “Waste Some Time With Jason Green”. Vinny also revealed that LAST IN LINE finished recording six new songs at the end of January at Danny “Count” Kokerit is desert moon studios in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Created in 2012 by Appliancebass player Jimmy Bain and guitarist Viviane CampbellRonnie James Dio‘s co-conspirators and co-authors on the “Holy Diver”, “Last in line” and “Sacred Heart” scrapbooks — LAST IN LINEthe original intention was to celebrate Ronnie James Diothe early work of by reuniting the members of the original DIO line up. After playing shows that featured a setlist consisting exclusively of material from the first three DIO albums, the band decided to go ahead and create new music in the same vein.

LAST IN LINEthe first album of, “Heavy Crown”was released in February 2016 via Frontiers Music Srllanding at No. 1 on BillboardHeatseekers chart. Initially, the liberation had been preceded by a tragedy when Bath died suddenly at the age of 68 on January 23, 2016. LAST IN LINEhonoring what they knew it would be Bathwish to keep the group moving, brought Soussan and engaged in a sustained tour in support of the album before starting work on the next release, 2019 “I”which was also made available via Frontiers Music Srl.

In June 2021, Soussan spoke to about the progress of the writing and recording sessions for LAST IN LINEthe third album of. “I was quite motivating with the group,” Phil said. “I try to get things done. We wanted to work on different aspects [during the pandemic]. And we also had to find a new record deal – we were changing labels – so that’s something we’re in the process of doing, and we’re getting closer now. But part of that was writing a third record. So we worked hard trying to write a third record and even record that third record while we were in different places around the world. And obviously this group functions as a unit in every sense of the word, so it’s a real handicap to not be able to be in the same room with everyone else and try to make it happen.”

In February 2021, Appliance told Metal From The Inside that the former DOKKEN and current FOREIGN bass player Jeff Pilsonwho produced both “I” and “Heavy Crown”is not involved in the next LAST IN LINE album. “We made a change,” he said. “Actually, the guy who mixed the last record, Chris Collier – he is great; he works with CORN – he recorded this record. And we produce it ourselves, between all of us.

I f that’s great – I fis a large producer, and [he has] great ideas and stuff, but we just felt like we could probably do what we wanted to do now that we’re a band, we’ve been on the road and we know what we want to hear,” he said. explained. “But it’s coming great. The stuff sounds fantastic.

“And yes, I’ve been through a lot with Jeff Pilson. I have known him for years. He’s a great guy. He’s like my brother.”

Also in February 2021, Soussan told the “Pat’s Soundbytes Unplugged” podcast about the musical direction of the new LAST IN LINE material: “The songs are another progression from the last album – the difference between “Heavy Crown” and ‘I’and now ‘I’ and whatever the name of this next album; we don’t know yet, by the way. But he definitely evolved even more; it has evolved even more, but we always try to keep the characteristics of LAST IN LINE the. I mean, you can’t shake these things – you can’t shake Vinnyis drumming, you can’t shake Vivianeplay. And I’d like to say the same about myself, and, of course, [singer] Andrew [Freeman].”

Some of the early recording sessions of LAST IN LINEthe third album of took place in January 2020 at Steak house studio in North Hollywood, California.
