ROADKILLER Unveils “Back with a Vengeance” Music Video, Featuring OBITUARY’s Donald Tardy on Drums

Philippe Reservoir has put together a dream team of percussionists for its next ROADKILLER disk. Philip is the vocalist, vocalist and composer of the music and lyrics for all the songs on the disc. She is also the guitarist and founding member of female tribute band Motorhead, Motorbabe.

Five guest drummers participated in the recording of the next ROADKILLER album, “Choice of litter:” Dave Witte (Municipal waste), jess marguera (CKY), Donald Tardi (obituary), Tommy Akerholdt (Turbonegro) and Adrian Aguilar (Exmortus). Philip invited each drummer to record a song that best matched each drummer’s playing style. Each session was filmed and a total of five videos will be produced.

The music video “Back with a Vengeance” can be seen below. don’t expect OBITUARY‘s is pure heavy metal with touches of sludge and energetic percussion from Late.

Donald Tardi said, “It was an absolute pleasure to work with Philip. I don’t often have the time or inclination to work with other artists outside of obituary and I couldn’t have had more fun jamming, creating, recording with her, and getting to know her. She’s an awesome guitarist, songwriter and even better person and I’m proud to be a part of her record and can’t wait for the release, see the reactions from the fans and hope it’s a huge hit for her because she worked tirelessly on this album and she deserves it!! Great songs, great atmosphere, super human!!”

Philippe Reservoir adds, “I got the first three drummers I wanted right away (Tommy Akerholdt, Dave Witte and jess marguera). I knew I wanted two more drummers, but I kept hitting brick walls. A wrong turn led me to New Orleans. I was in the French Quarter doing a reading and the medium told me I was going to travel to Florida. I was like Florida? Why would I want to go to Florida? But then I started to think… Oh yeah, this is the home of Death Metal. obituary is the first band that came to my mind. So, I started writing heavier songs and I reached out. He liked what I sent so I flew out and recorded at Redneck Studios. It was an amazing experience, and his tracks are amazing.
