Tom Hardy and Andy Serkis play a ‘symbiote or death metal band?’ – Kerrang!


With the highly anticipated Marvel movie Venom: Let There Be Carnage on the way, its lead star Tom Hardy (Eddie Brock / Venom) and director Andy Serkis have put their knowledge of comics – and, more interestingly, death metal – on their knowledge. – put to the test in a new quiz for IGN.

The pair played a game of symbiote or death metal band? ‘ in an entertaining new video interview, apparently not really knowing much about the genre, but using their logic to do just fine on the nine names on offer.

Kerrang! Venom Prison favorites were verified (although Tom misunderstood it as Venom Prism at first, which is actually still a pretty decent group name), while people like Amorphis and Massacre were also mentioned. A Carnage trick question was also asked – but Tom and Andy managed to fix that!

Venom Prison took to Twitter to invite Tom to Wales for dinner after seeing the video, joking: Yo Tom Hardy next time you’re in the area (preferably Barry Island) yell at me and we’ll have some chips. IGN shout for the mention / let Tom know about the chips. It is surely an offer that he cannot refuse …
